# Disabling comments

 * I see that comments are disabled via individual post on 2.8.6.
 * Is there any way to completely and universally disable anything and everything
   having to do with comments?
 * Maybe some bit of code that I can add or remove so that not only permanently 
   disable commenting, but prevent the space where comments would normally show 
   up under a post from displaying?
 * I’ve hunted around wp-comments-post-php. comment.php, comment-template.php, index.
   php, post.php and post-template.php and I can’t find what code to alter or delete
   to make this happen.
