 * Comment spammers still posting.
    I have disabled comments, and I am still being
   comment spammed. Words added to the blacklist are being ignored, which according
   to this: Moderation Hold a comment in the queue if it contains more than links.(
   A common characteristic of comment spam is a large number of hyperlinks.) When
   a comment contains any of these words in its content, name, URI, email, or IP,
   hold it in the moderation queue: (Separate multiple words with new lines.) Common
   spam words. So, I guess that means I am stuck with the comment spammers? I mean,
   placing google into the blacklist didn’t work for URI flagging, “@bybob.com for
   email didn’t flag the postings… any suggestions that will not require me to wreck
   my blog by trying to hack? And beleive me, I will wreck it if I ahve to hack
   it.

 * Is this spam appearing as you post? Or is it new spam? If it’s insta-spam, then
   odds are, it’s already in your database. If so then you’ll need to open the DB
   and remove the comments by hand that way. If it’s new spam, then any of the stuff
   on [this page](http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/spam/) will help a lot.

 * 1) clean your database
    2) install something like Kitten’s Spaminator 3) put
   the comments-post code in another file, and make sure that file is linked to
   for real comments, then empty wp-comments-post.php, but do not remove it (this
   will fool automated spammers)

 * I tried Kitten’s spaminator twice. Both times it just posted the code of the
   file above my header, and i had no way to remove it.
    any advice?
