# Disabling A Plugin

 * What happens if you disable a plugin? Does it keep the settings that you had,
   making them available when you reactivate it, or do you have to start all over
   again and input settings again?
 * I installed a few plugins after putting my Google AdSense code in, and now the
   AdSense won’t display. I have to disable extensions to troubleshoot and am concerned
   that my settings will be lost.
 * Please advise. Thanks,

 * Unfortunately, that depends entirely on the plugin developer. Some keep the settings
   in tact and others remove them when the plugin is deactivated.
 * If you’re ever concerned, it’s definitely a good idea to take a screenshot of
   the settings and copy/paste any text into a file on the side.
