• After the latest version of wordpress installation 3.4.1
I cannot access the screen options and the Help menu at the top of the Edit pages and edit post pages.

All of the widgets and plugin utilities are expanded and I cannot minimize or change column and position to any of them.

I deleted and deactivated a lot of my plugins except of those which concern “related posts” functionality.

    Can you please help me?

  • Sounds like Javascript is disabled in your browser. Have you checked that?

Javascript is enabled both in Firefox and Chrome with checked the advanced settinge

Screen options work great in Dashboard and anywhere else but Edit pages and Edit post views…

    Any other Idea

    two ideas:

    – Try to clear your browser cache (or ctrl-F5)

    – Check the javascript error from the Console (fx press F12 in Chrome)

Disable all of your plugins and switch to Twenty-Eleven. If that doesn’t help try manually installing. Maybe you have a missing or corrupt file. Download a clean WordPress, unzip it, and FTP everything except wp-content to your server.

    Dear s_ha_dum Thank you
I resolve the problem with the 1st part of your advice.
I disabled one by one all of my plugins to check which on was may causing the problem and I found the guilty one!
“Easy rotator” plugin is a really great one but it was the source of the screen options conflict.
I trashed it and everything works like a charm!

Thank you very much for you help all of you

Let the developers of that plugin know. I would appreciate that if it were my plugin.
