 * OK, this is driving me crazy so i’ll just ask:
 * I have a theme for which the button to submit the comment form is disabled. If
i switch theme back to default, the button is ok (so it’s not an article-option
   issue).
 * Now, where things are weird, is that the theme that doesn’t work doesn’t have
a specific comments script. It actually loads the default theme commetns script/
default/comments.php . How can the same file, with the same backend, result in
   different outputs ?
In one case everything is ok, in the other i have a disabled
=”disabled” that magically appeared out of nowhere on my button. I can’t even
see the conditionnal writing it in the comments.php file.
 * Is the output of this file relying on some sort of themes options ? Are the content
of comments.php preg_replaced somewhere in the code ? Why could things be different
when I’m only switching templates ?
    Thanks !

 * nobody ?
at least on this question there should be someone who can help me:

 * Hard to help without relevant information. My ability to read minds is at a low
today. I will resort to interrogation methods:
 * What is the name of the theme that’s not working?
Is there a reason you can’t
share a link to your site? What version of WP? Is this a new install?

 * What relevant information are you missing ?
I use a theme ( Taft, if you need
to know ) that uses the default template from the default themes for its comments.
It is possible to post comments with the default theme, not with the other one
where the “post comment” button is disabled.
 * The reason why I didn’t post the theme or a link is that it’s irrelevant to the
   question which is:
 * **Is there anything that can make the comment button be disabled other than having
   disabled comments for this article?**
 * But if you really need to see one, here it is:
 * The version of WP is 2.x running under WPMU. I have 20+ themes with comments
working, but this one just doesn’t, and I don’t get why.

 * **WPMU**
 * not to pass the buck, but they have their own support forum …

 * yeah, you know what, that’s funny, because they sent me here in the first place
🙂 . And they’re probably right, because on a WP-only install the same problem
   occurs.
Why not focus on the question, please? The question is irrelevant to
the theme, url, wpmu or whatever, the question is:
 * Is there anything that can make the comment button be disabled other than having
   disabled comments for this article?
