    Greetings –

Does anybody know a way to automatically disable/enable the visual editor based on user role (Administrator / Editor / Author / Contributor / Subscriber)?

I’d like this to be automated rather than having to edit the the user’s “Disable the visual editor when writing” setting any time a change it made to a user’s role.

I’m thinking of generating a CSS rule that will “display: none;” the #wpadminbar div based on role type. A downside of this method is that it’s still possible to view the source of the page and copy/pasting the URL to get into the user profile (or just visiting domain.com/wp-admin), but for the settings I’m using for subscribers on the specific site I’m building it’s not a big deal.

Thanks and happy WordPressing to all.
