I’ve disabled the Timthumb functionality of the plugin in the code and let it use the post thumbnail instead.

Is there a way to fix this without modifying the plugin? So it won’t be broken when the plugin gets updated.

The development version of the WPP plugin has dropped Timthumb (again) in favor of the Post Thumbnail feature. You might want to give it a try and also get a heads up of what’s coming on version 2.3.3 😉
