Michael,
How do those let you disable certain plugins on certain pages? I’m talking like:
I have a facebook like plugin and it puts a button on all my pages. On one page, I don’t want the “like” button. So there’s a plugin that allows me to turn it off for that specific page.
What’s the plugin called?
Sorry–you are talking about plugins, not widgets. Not too sure there is a plugin to do that. You’d probably have to modify the plugin code to not do certain things based on Conditional Tags.

I’ve seen a plugin for it. I just can’t remember the name.
HEADSPACE 2 does it — Although heads up — There are issues with posting images and screen options happening on WP 3.0 and the current version of Headspace 2.
Does anyone else have a solution for this – I tried headspace but it caused a fatal error with a crucial plugin. Thanks
this would be a great (core) function. The ability to disable specific plugins on specific pages or post.
Now a lot of times pages load unneeded javascript for plugins that are not used on those pages. Causing extra bandwidth and extra load time
You should be able to disable Facebook plug-in by going to Page Template Page.php or single page single page.php and writing a IF criteria around
<script src=”http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#appId=*****&xfbml=1″></script>
Take a look at http://www.piggyway.org/blog – FB app does not appear on individual pages (Home / About) but appears in the blog post. Still a beta site. Shall let you know as I find more
