# Disable sidebar alt?

 * I want to disable sidebar alt (three bars on the left). I don’t use widgets on
   my website. Please, how I proceed ?

   problem. I have removed all widgets from the sidebar alt area, but the icon with
   the three bars still appears. Do you know why that is?

 * To disable the alt sidebar button, please navigate to **Dashboard > Appearance
   > Customize > Main Navigation** and simply uncheck the option “Show Sidebar Icon”
