How to disable the sharing buttons on images in general instead of unchecking it for every file?

Settings > AddToAny > Placement > uncheck “Display at the bottom of media pages”

It’s possible the site’s theme (or some images plugin) uses a post type other than “media” — so if unchecking the “media” option doesn’t work, share here which theme/plugin you’re using for images.

Hi and thanks for the fast replay.

Okay, I hadn’t approved the functonality before and just thought than when the AddAny box of a media object is checked, the buttons will be shown.

I had already unchecked everything in the Placement section. I am using the standard 2021 theme and WP’s own media handling. So far I only intend to use the floating feature of your plugin.

With your advice I checked different constellation to see what happens if I open an image file with the WP direct link like “…/wp-content/uploads/test.jpg”. It doesn’t seem to change. I checked the box for the specific image in the mediathek and activated the “show on media pages” part in the plugin settings, but nothing is showing up.

For me and my usecase it is okay. At the moment I don’t want the buttons on media sides, but it is obvious that something is going wrong.

I also use Photo Gallery, but it isn’t involved at that point, I guess.

Now my question is: by default, how should it work? Which setting has priority? If the main placement setting for media is off will it overwrite the “Show buttons” setting of a single media file or is it the other way round?
