• Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to enable the grace period settings and completely remove the 2FA wizard from the initial registration stage?

We have a multi vendor marketplace with its own front-end registration and the 2FA kind of hijacks it half way through.

Ideally our Members would register as normal but then be asked to setup their 2fa after a day or 2?

    TIA.

    Hello @webfactoryuk

Thank you for using the WP 2FA plugin.

When you enforce 2FA and give users a grace period to configure 2FA, the wizard is not triggered during the registration process. The users will get a notification in the dashboard once they log in. Should they fail to configure 2FA within the grace period, their account will be locked.

However, we will be changing this, or better, adding another option. We will have an option in future updates so when a user does not configure 2FA within the grace period, the admin can configure the plugin to lock the user account (as it is now) or to require the user to configure 2FA instantly.

The latter should work for you because if you configure a grace period of 2 days, users do not have to configure 2FA during the registration process etc, and after 2 days they are prompted to configure it when trying to log in.

I think the above is what you are looking for, right?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yea that sounds exactly right! Thanks for the reply.

Can I ask for a rough ETA on when that will be live in the plugin?

I am glad we’ve got that right @webfactoryuk

I am sorry, we can’t give you any ETA when such feature will be implemented in the plugin. Please follow our blog if you’d to keep yourself up to date of what is new and improved in our plugins. This is where we announce new updates and releases.

I am sorry I could not be of any more help today. Should there be anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to ask.
