    Hi,

Can you explain a little as to why you’d want to do this?

There is a shipping plugin installed on the website and it turns out that this shipping plugin has (( )) in the code and it produces footnotes with code on the bottom of the checkout page.

So it’s not just WooCommerce per se but a specific shipping plugin?

Can you provide me with details on how to recreate this and I’ll see what I can do?

No, I don’t think it is a WooCommerce problem. It looks like the code that shows up in the footnotes is from the shipping plugin.

    This is a test website.
It has only the theme, the shipping plugin and the Footnotes Made Easy plugin installed.
The problem is visible on the checkout page.

If you think that it will take too much time to disable the Footnotes Made Easy plugin on the checkout, then I’ll try to figure out some other character different from the (( )), to use for the footnotes.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort!

Yes, changing the default trigger may be the best idea.

That plugin appears to be a premium one, so it’s not something I really be expected to purchase and test (you may want to remove that link directly to their code, if this is the case).

The shipping plugin is free and available to the public. I hope there won’t be any problem with the link.

    Thank you for your support!

    Best regards,

Ah, understood. I went to the developers main site and couldn’t see a link to it but a lot of commercial products.
