Disable Page refresh when clicking submit

Hello,
I have a problem which is related to a question asked in the following link:
Basically my contact forms need to be within a tab and have been like this for a while. But, I have only just noticed that the page refreshes when you click the contact submit button so this causes the page to display the first tab. So, even if the form does not send (for example for wrong details, wrong capture etc) the user would never know this. I would like to keep using FS Contact form but only if I can find a way to fix this.
Is it possible to somehow disable the page refresh which is causing the issue?

I know this is an older question – but IMO this is a major missing element from an otherwise very good plugin. Given the way websites are catering to DMI and Cx these days, the need to have contact forms within elements like tabs or accordians or popups etc. will grow and that’s why we had to move away from this contact form, the refresh just doesn’t work with these elements. It would be great if a ‘non-refresh’ option could surface so we could move back – I really liked the security, and the very useful ‘extra options’ like parameter passing/etc. now take us a couple of products to emulate. If it were a paid option, we’d pay for it… ;-/
