    Hi, you can use display none to hide the slideshow so it isn’t loaded on the screen, but it will still load behind the scenes.

    There is a new function, wp_is_mobile, that you could use to load the slideshow conditionally in your theme, but that will cast a pretty wide net beyond just the smallest mobiles. I’d recommend keeping the slideshow files small enough to run anywhere, if you have no more than 5 or 6 slides, and the file size of the slide images is kept in check it should work fine in most situations.
