Disable new user notification email for USERS on multisite??

I have my network set so users create their own password on signup. I also want to downplay the fact that it’s a network, if possible. I want to stop them from receiving their new registration login info by email.

Any core files I can hack? I found a plugin “Eliminate Notify Email” but it’s not working for multisite.
