Disable globally and remove default "No related content" message

I’d like to disable the posts globally unless called with <?php the_related(); ?>

Also, I would like to remove the default “no related content” message.

The “No related posts found text” help message says “Leave empty for no output at all.”

How do you mean, to disable the posts globally?

Related posts appear on every post normally.

Do you mean you don’t want the related content added automatically to every post page? There’s an option for that in the plugin settings, it’s the first one of them all: “Automatically show related content on”. Without this, they only show when you call with <?php the_related(); ?>.
