    Hello,

is there any way of turning off footnote for images and links completely? We like Markdown for its ease of use, but this single feature is a bit confusing.

Description of footnote is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown#External_links

    Thanks!
    Martin

What about it are you finding confusing, exactly? It's a standard part of Markdown and is expected to be there by Markdown parsers.

    Hello Emory,

I just think it would be easier to edit the text if the link would show inline rather than at the end of the text.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Unfortunately not, because of how the plug-in works it is actually converting stuff back and forth between Markdown & HTML. The HTML -> Markdown parser uses the footnote syntax for links and there's no easy way of changing that.
