[Resolved] Disable Editors from Connecting WordPress.com Account

  • I’ve set up Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr SHARED publicize on my Admin account so that EVERY post, no matter who it’s from or who published it – can go to our site’s FB/Twitter/Tumblr immediately. I tested it and it works great.

AND I also noticed that when Contributors hit “Settings” they get an error saying they do not have “sufficient permissions” to access this page. ALSO great! BUT, I don’t see that for the Editors. I don’t want anything to be changed around as it all works perfectly. SO, is there any way I can get that permissions error to show up for Editors too without it affecting how it currently works? Or no?

    Thanks so much 🙂

Jetpack doesn’t offer such option, so your editors can also connect to their own Facebook account. This way, they could automatically push their posts on your site to your Facebook Page, and also to their own personal Facebook profile.

Rest assured though, they won’t be able to remove the existing connection to your Facebook Page; they will be able to add their own.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.

Ah good! I was hoping the current connection couldn’t be messed with. That’s perfect. 🙂
