Support » Plugin: Central Color Palette » Disable Default Colors

  • I really like the concept for this plugin, guys! There’s just one feature missing that would make it really useful for me: disabling the default colors entirely.

The reason for that is because I’d like to use this plugin as a way for people to have access to “Approved” colors on a site. If puce isn’t in the approved color palette, I don’t want people to be tempted to use it.

Would that be possible? I think we could do it by adding “None” as an option under the “Color Grid” settings.

My apologies for my rather late reply.

Could you maybe elaborate a bit on what you mean by ‘disabling default colours’? Do you mean for WP’s colours or my replacement to be hidden to the user? Or differently: Do you wish only your choise to be available to the user?

    I’d like that feature too.

In the content editor, I’d love to be able to see a “simplified” color palette with just my approved choices that looks like the one the customizer shows based on the options set in the plugin.

I don’t want to see the entire grid of colors that “comes with” TinyMCE.

This feature was added in version 1.8:
If you have a look at the settings page of this plugin you can define which type of grid TinyMCE receives. If you select Central Palette and tick Add to Visual Editor it will receive only those colours you’ve defined.

    Hope that helps.
