disable date link in agenda view and widget | WordPress.org

When in agenda view, and also in the widget, clicking on the date block next to an event seems to activate a filter that displays events for that specific day. I would like to either disable that link entirely or have it link to the event itself (just like clicking on the event title). Is this possible?

It seems to me this should be an option in the Settings panel (feature request, please!) but in the meantime maybe there’s something we could add to functions.php?

i guess you would have to create a child theme and modify the templates so that there is no link http://time.ly/document/user-guide/customize-calendar/create-new-calendar-theme/

Hmm…that’s more complicated than I want to get into at this point, but thanks for the suggestion. For now I guess I’ll go with this approach (though it’s not ideal):

Again, it’d be great in future versions of the plugin to have the option of disabling the link on the date block. It just seems to me like a bad user experience the way it’s currently configured. Personally, when clicking on the date block in agenda view, I expect to be taken to that specific event page itself rather than activating a filter for that particular date.

Well you could add a snippet of javascript in your theme and remove it.
Thsi would work
```
jQuery( 'a.ai1ec-date-title' ).each( function() {
  jQuery( this ).removeAttr( 'href' );
} );
```
