Disable commission by category (child categories included?)

    Hi all,

    If I have a category for example (Apple) with child category (Laptops) and disable commissions for (Apple), does this disable commissions for (Laptops) as well or would I need to go through every child category to disable?

    Hey @stevecurrey,

    Thank you for reaching out! Technically speaking, the disable commissions system for categories wasn’t designed to handle multiple categories scenarios. The system will look for the list of assigned categories (in alphabetical order) and check the disable commissions setting of the first category in this list. Because the list is ordered alphabetically, either a child or a parent category can be the selected category.

    We know this isn’t ideal and we already have plans to improving the system.

    For your use case, if you wish to disable commissions for all products in the Apple category, I’d recommend disabling commissions for the main category (Apple) and for each child category (Laptops, etc).
