I am running 3.5 and I am trying to disable comments on specific pages. I am using the “allow comments” tick box in the edit pages section, however it is not working. I disallow comments, but the comment section still appears on the pages.

As a workaround I used a display: none; on the comment class div which does work, but I need my clients to be able to comment on their invoices which I run through my site, so that is an unnacceptable solution.

Alternately, I have tried commenting out the <?php comments_template(); ?> section in page.php but my invoice plugin uses page.php so again that is not a valid workaround.

I have also tried deactivating all plugins and running the same test, to no avail so I’m at a loss.

I am wondering why the disallow comments feature that is available on each page has no bearing. Whether the box is checked or unchecked, the comments box appears on each page.

My site is located at imaginocracy.com

    Any suggestions?
