Disable comments for registered users

  • How can I disable comments only for the registered users and only allow visitors to post comments on wordpress!? I’m trying this because I’m using another script to log in into the site, other than the wordpress, so if someone post on the site while I’m logged as the Admin, it will show the comment as posted by the admin user instead of the visitor.

  • you could just hide the comment form from logged in users maybe?

    if ( !is_user_logged_in() ) {

    I think…..

    not sure if that would work for you…

    The thing is that if I log on to submit an article anyone who posts, a comment, as a visitor will post as me (admin). That is what I’m trying to avoid..

    I figured it out.. You have to go in wp-comments-post.php and delete the part with the ‘if’ and ‘else’ where the /* comments */ for logged users are, and there you have it.. you don’t have to be logged as a user to post..
