# Disable comments

 * I’m building a site using Solon and this might be the first of many posts 🙂
 * I want to turn off comments for every page do I do this under discussion settings/
   default article settings/those 3 tick boxes?

 * Yes, unchecking those boxes will disable comments by default site-wide. If you
   wanted to enable comments for just one particular post, you can do so by checking
   the box titled “Allow comments.” in the Discussion panel on the post editing

 * Those three options refer to articles, not pages.
 * This [plugin](http://wordpress.org/plugins/no-page-comment/) does exactly what
   you want. A different aproach would be to use a child theme and modify the page
   template, but the plugin option is easier.
