# Disable code editor auto-format?

 * When I’m using the code editor for a page, I often start writing something, then
   have to go to another screen to copy a bit of text or something. The moment I
   click out of the box, if there is any unfinished code, or quotes that are missing
   the closing, or whatever, the editor just takes a big steaming dump all over 
   whatever is there, sometimes entirely removing bits (that I don’t even notice,
   because I’m not looking at it when it happens).
 * Is there any way to entirely disable the code editor from messing with my code
   while I’m trying to do things?
