  • What would I need to do to disable a certain plug-in from loading up with my blog, yet keep everything intact for the admin control panel? I use the plug-in in my admin CP to add entries to the database, but I have a custom way of retrieving them, so I don’t need the plug-in loading all of the time. In fact, it makes things rather slow.

Edit: And I don’t mean how to remove the call to the function in my template files, I mean actually disabling the file in the plug-in directory from being loaded.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • I’m not sure I understand you question, what plugin is this that is active on both the blog and the controlpanel?
You know you can disable plugins from the controlpanel? 🙂

Ummm… if it is your plugin, why don’t you just add code to the top of the plugin to ‘return;’ if the page being loaded doesn’t include ‘wp-admin’ in the URL?

    -d
