Disable category descriptions as alt text?

    Hi!

    My theme uses categories and sub categories for structure. On category archives it pulls the category description to display on the archive page. A plugin was used to allow html in category descriptions to format that copy for when it displays on the page.

    My problem is that when categories are listed in the secondary navigation, category links show the cat description as alt text (along with all the html markup).

    Is there any way do disable, or globally change the scheme for alt text on category links?
