 * Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2013/06. Is its parent directory
   writable by the server?
 * I haven’t logged into the site in about a month, uploading files was working
   fine before hand and now it is not. No one else logs in so I’m not sure what
   would have changed that would make it so I can no longer upload media. Please
   help. (I’m not very tech savvy so please explain in detail.)

 * Is your site hosted on WordPress.COM? If so, you’re on the wrong forums – you
   need to go here:
 * [http://en.forums.wordpress.com/](http://en.forums.wordpress.com/)
 * If not, and it’s self-hosted, check the file permissions –

 * My dashboard says wordpress.org and links me to this site.
    If my site were self-
   hosted, where would I check the file permissions.

 * Your site is _not _hosted by WordPress. It is self-hosted. Try changing the permissions
   on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775
   or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back
   to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

 * I’ve tried using your instructions above changing the wp-content and uploads
   folder to 777 but it’s still not working.
 * Any further tips?
