    Greetings,

I’ve noticed that Rank Math is creating 40-50 records per page in the wp_postmeta table even though only a very few are relevant to my site and have even been changed from their default values. I’m not here to complain about the efficiency of the source code, but I would like to know if the product will function properly without these extraneous entries. The reason that I’m asking is I’m going to programmatically add 600 pages to a site and I would like to also programmatically set their meta_values for the rank_math_description and rank_math_title keys/records. I’m hoping that the product will recognize and implement those values even if the other meta records related to the new post are not there. Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Alec

    Hi Alec,

Most of the things should work fine without setting any post meta other than the rank_math_title and rank_math_description. There could be some issues in the Schema.org data if you have that module enabled. We recommend testing it with just one page, and checking the resulting page URL in Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool, before adding the 600 pages.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi…

Okay… Thanks for the info… I’ll test things out for sure.

    Cheers,
