Support » Plugin: Store Locator Plus for WordPress » Directions to location uses address not lat/long

  • I have pro pack and have changed lat/long where Google maps does not show a location address correctly. The directions link still uses the street address rather than the modified lat/long which results in incorrect address being shown. Is there currently any way for directions to show the lat/long as the destination location, rather than the street address?

There is no way to do that at this time. It will need to be coded. Good idea though!

Are you planning on doing this? A checkbox setting for each location to override the street address and use the lat/long for directions would be good.

At the moment I am finding about 1 in 10 locations cannot be accurately interpreted by Google maps.

Some day. Soon if I can as directions seems to be a very popular feature.

Most likely this will be going in the Enhanced Results or Pro Pack add on. I’m thinking Enhanced Results as I try to more clearly define & segregate what each add-on does…

Enhanced Search = all search UI extensions/mods.

Enhanced Results = search result UI extensions/mods.

Enhanced Maps (coming someday) = all map UI enhancements.

Pro Pack = administration, backend mods (reporting, bulk management, etc.)

Store Pages = the SEO pages for locations.

Tagalong = advanced categorization and taxonomy tools.

Regardless, this is on my short list of patches when I have some time. Hopefully by month-end. Maybe in 3.8 (3.7.8 is already frozen for beta testers).
