On http://www.admaticonsulting.com/test1, I am trying to have all the links from the Services sub-menu land on a different section of a singe ‘Services’ page.

I know this requires anchor text. I got that.

I know I have to include the ‘#’ sing in the link at the top, but, it is stripped when I save.

For example, on ‘Weddings’, when I add ‘services/#weddings’ to the box next to:
Permalink: http://www.admaticonsulting.com/test1/, it removes the ‘#’.

How can I change the link so it includes the ‘#’ sign or where is the file so I can edit it directly?

  • I may not be understanding what you’re saying, so please forgive me if I’m not getting it, but I think what you’re saying is that you want all the services on a single Services page, with links in your Services submenu linked to anchor tags on the page for the corresponding services.

To do that, I believe you must first add the anchor tags to the HTML on the Services page, then create a custom menu item of the type “Links” using the URL to your Services page, plus the anchor name like this:
    http://www.admaticonsulting.com/test1/services/#weddings
where “weddings” is the name of the anchor tag on the page for weddings.

You won’t need to alter the permalink for the Services page at all.

    Hi,

I see time has passed… yes, you got it right. I eventually did get it, and did it just as you said.

    Thank you.
