    The Twitter plugin for WordPress does not currently include features which would require a Twitter app and managing requests to the Twitter REST APIs.

    The ability to read and write DMs seems like a customer service type feature best integrated into your site’s admin interface.

    Thanks for the reply, Niall.

    It would be excellent to have an official plugin from Twitter Dev that automates PHP based cURL calls from Twitter’s API. At the very least it could grow the development community‘s use of the API inside WP.
