So last week I was using 1.5.0 and taking the page links for the products and using them on social media and the like. I didn’t think anything of it when the app updated but on Sunday I noticed I was getting several inbound links going to the Shopfront instead of whichever product they were supposed to link to.

So I went to my site and chose any link of shirts, topics and designs and when I used those links in a browser they all went to the shopfront. Not really what I was looking for when I have been building direct links.

I raised with Spreadshirt support on Monday and the 24-hour response came and went so I looked at it myself today. First of all, I moved the version of WordPress back 1 release and had the same result. I then moved the plugin back one release and voila direct linking is back. So I am now a happy bunny but a number of days there I lost my mojo and was looking into the API plugin which looks decent to be fair and provides all the pages for the sitemap which is what this app seems to be missing to me.

So to summarise: for me, the move to 1.5.1 was a failure as a direct link to any particular page failed to populate. Rolling back to 1.5.0 fixed the problem. Please, can this be fixed in the next release so that I can move up to the latest release? If this is a “feature” then I might have to seriously work out how to use the 3rd party API app.

So I believe that this is down to the Optimize URL feature which has been added as a default which is switched on. Begs the question of how do you link directly to an item, design or topic if Optimise URL is active?

Hi there, best to check out our forum where we’re more active than here: https://www.spreadshop.com/forum/c/english

This is indeed a bug where for now the solution is to deactivate the Optimise URL function. We’re working on a fix and hope to release it by the end of the Month. Sorry for the inconvenience.
