I see how to import a single RSS feed as posts on Blog.
Can I have more than one feed going to more than one page?
I don’t want to combine feeds, but keep topics separate.
An example would be news feed to one page and merchant feed of
    products to another.

If you want to use the native RSS Widget, you’d need to create different widget-ready sidebars (or conditional widgetized sidebar areas) for each page.

I’m a cut and paster, not a WP programmer. Not sure I can follow you.

I do see that WP Reading Settings lets me select A static page for posts, but seems not to allow more.

You could try looking for a plugin that does what you want but, otherwise, there isn’t any way to do this without getting your hands dirty with a little programming. Have a look at:

The “Front page displays” setting has nothing to do with it. Sorry.
