• The following error appears to have been on my pages and posts since upgrading to WordPress 4.2.5. The strange thing is I can’t see them on my laptop, but everyone else can see them on their devices.

Notice: undefined variable:dd_override_start_anchor_id in /home/rippleki/plugins/plugins/digg-digg/digg-digg.php on line 351

Notice: undefined variable:dd_override_top_offset in /home/rippleki/plugins/plugins/digg-digg/digg-digg.php on line 352

    My website is http://www.ripplekindness.org

I don’t use code, so if you can help, could you please tell me in simple speak what the problem is and how to fix it.

I’m thinking I need to change the plugin to another but am worried about losing all of my social share stats. Is there any way to preserve them when going to a new plugin please?

    Thanks Lis

This issue has now been resolved. Could it please be removed?

How and where is this resolved? I am getting the same error. Have installed CP Command and uninstalled upon discovering error. Is there something else that needs to happen for this error to go away? I can comment it out, but then I lose functionality.

    Please help,
    Jen

    Hi Jen

It ended up being a clash with a plug in. Try deactivating anything you’ve recently added and see if that works.

There are 2 lines missing that declare the variables (see lines 337 and 338 in the below file) that somehow conflict with another plugin, but if you go to the github site and copy the file at this address: https://github.com/bufferapp/diggdigg/blob/master/digg-digg/digg-digg.php (from <?php on line 1 to ?> at line 559) and paste into the referenced file in your error message (go to the cPanel for the web host of your site then File Manager), close out of the browser tab and reopen then go back to your site, the error message should disappear.

This is what worked for me.

Since this is a brand new error message for me, I thought it might be prudent to provide the answer for anyone else who gets this error.

    Cheers,
    Jen

Thank you Jen. It can be frustrating when you can’t find the answer to a problem. I hope this helps someone else. 🙂
