  • (carrying forward an earlier ‘resolved’ issue from here.)

I second Fran Kee’s request for enhancement.

This link shows my current issue on a Page (not a Post) I recently built. If I try to insert a picture anywhere, Hueman defines that picture as the Featured Image (and adds the caption dead center within that image) (and crops the image however it sees fit).

So I can either have no image or two images or one poorly cropped/captioned image. I’m currently going with no image but would love to be able to insert an image as I do with my regular posts.

  • There are some other recent posts that explain about featured images, that might help you.

You can also try plugins for resizing/cropping thumbnails (featured images) for example “Post Thumbnail Editor” plugin. I tried this and it works well.

Thank you the reply and the useful thumbnail editor but you misunderstand my issue:

    1. If one places any picture into a Page, that picture becomes the Featured Image.
    2. The Page template places the Featured Image at the top of your page.
    3. There is no way to disable either #1 or #2.

Thus, if you wish to place a picture at the top of a Page, your readers will see two pictures at the top of the page.

Yes this has been discussed in other threads.
No this has not been resolved.

    Many thanks,

Hueman defines that picture as the Featured Image

The theme shouldn’t do that – are you sure it’s not the Easy Add Thumbnail plugin running, or something similar?
