Couldn’t find a codex page for it, so i hope that covers it.. 🙂
Still looking for a correct way to do this.
I have this:
.bypostauthor{
background-color: #4d535f;
color: white;
}
.comment-author-admin{
background-color:#000;
color:white;
}
The problem comes in the replies, admin comments become authors color.
Is there a way to have admin comments in a specific color, no matter the depth of it ?
Thanks.
Still looking for this if someone wants to help.
Thanks.
A link to your blog and what your active theme is would be helpful …
Hi cais, what for a link is needed or helpful ? Its just a style.
Anyone that knows how ?
Thanks.
What you have now should style the
<li>
with a class of .comment-author-admin
The comments by the admin will have that class applied to them no matter what depth they are.

… it is your choice. I was only making a suggestion to allow someone to give you a specific answer related to your site and installation. Good Luck.

I can style author comments in WP 2.8 just using something like this in the css style:
.bypostauthor{
background-color: #red;
}
If I add also something like this is not working:
.admincomment{
background-color: #blue;
}
Any idea how can I give the admin a style different to author and guests ?
Thanks.
