Different products attributes for each product category

    Hello,

    I would like to create different attributes for each product category. For example :
    category 1 -> attributes : color, weight, brand
    category 2 -> attributes : gender, brand (but not the same as in category 1), size…
    Is it possible to show only attributes that are related to a specific category while creating or editing a product ?

    Hi @maureljulie82,

    I went through this requirement and can confirm that it is not possible out of the box, I tried to look for an external plugin that does this but couldn’t find one. You could get this idea as a custom developed plugin with some developer.

    Any updates/suggestions/solution on this? I have a theme that offers this feature but I’m stuck with that theme. I have auto parts so each category is complex for attributes as described in the original post… thanks

    I found this, it works on back end only:

    My theme has front end, so it works well for any product create plugin well, but many other things in the theme I don’t like. Would like to change.
