Support » Fixing WordPress » Different number of posts on frontpage and archive view…

  • Hi!

    I’ve set “dashboard > settings > reading > Blog pages show at most” value to 1. So that the first page only shows the most recent post wich is working just fine.

    But on my archive.php template I want wordpress to show every singel “posttitle”(topic) from the month the visitors chosen.

    Here’s what the template looks like now. (template.php)

    <?php get_header(); ?>
     <div id="content" class="narrowcolumn">

      <?php if (have_posts()) : ?>
       <?php while (have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
         <div class="post">
         <h2 id="post-<?php the_ID(); ?>">
    <a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h2>
         <small><?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?> <!-- by <?php the_author() ?> --></small>
          </div>
        <?php endwhile; ?>
    <div class="navigation">
    <div class="alignleft">
    <?php posts_nav_link('','','&laquo; Previous Entries') ?>
    </div>
    <div class="alignright">
    <?php posts_nav_link('','Next Entries &raquo;','') ?>
    </div>
      </div>
    <?php else : ?>
      <h2 class="center">Not Found</h2>
     <p class="center"><?php _e("Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here."); ?></p>
      <?php endif; ?>
    </div>
    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    The problem is that the template seems to use the “dashboard > settings > reading > Blog pages show at most” for archive.php aswell.

    How do I make template.php show all posts from each chosen month on a single page?

    /gurra
