different meta descriptions

Hello sir/madam, I was checking the Bing webmaster tool’s site scan results, and its says ’20 ERRORs: Meta Description tag missing’. These all are the meta descriptions of Tags and categories. (attached) . I want to know if I write anything about my website in these two boxes. And if I will write here anything, will this affect the meta description of each individual blog post?
2ns question is, is it optional to show tags in search results? What if I hide these?
