I will release and add-on to make to this work in the future.
I’m in the process of hiring a developer to help me with the development of the plugin, and that should help to speed up the development of the planned add-ons.
If you’re comfortable with code, then there is a work around to make it work, but this does involve a third party plugin.
I agree this would be a very useful feature. Also make sure you implement a legend feature so the user knows which marker/color represents a certain category.
Wonderful to learn that an add on will be released 🙂
@tijmensmit: could you please specify which plugin and give some more tips about this workaround? Thanks
+1. I agree with Daniele that I’d love to know where to start working on this. Thanks.

I really need to know more about this workaround.
This thread has almost everything you need to get it done. It worked for me. The only extra step I also had to do is copy the modified code from the wp-store-locator/js/wpsl-gmap.js file and paste it over the wp-store-locator/js/wpsl-gmap.min.js file.
@knetwalker thanks! I’m going to try it asap.
Thanks @knetwalker you pointed me in the right direction! Here is the solution that worked for me.
