  • Hi All,

    Trying to use a different footer for a widecolumn page with no sidebar

    I tried adding this under the header css image stuff. Right under the end of #footer.
    #footer { background: url(“<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>/images/footer_no_sb.jpg”) no-repeat bottom; border: none;} <?php } else { // No sidebar ?>

    and it gives me
    “Parse error: parse error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/ourdaya/public_html/info/wp-content/themes/final/header.php on line 26”

    any help would be appreciated.

  • I don’t think you can call php files from a style sheet. Please someone correct me if I’m wrong. You can only list presentation information.

    And as I read through this, I can’t tell if you are trying to force a style into HTML or php into your style sheet. If I understand this right, your style sheet (style.css) should read:

    #footer { background: url(images/footer_no_sb.jpg) no-repeat bottom; border: none;}

    And I don’t know what you want to do with the IF/Else php statement in your template file (php file).

    bob, I think if you go through this thread
    you can see a possible solution. Even if it talks about the sidebar, the same logic applies (I guess) for the footer…
