Support » Fixing WordPress » DIFFERENT FONT SIZES FOR TAG CLOUDS

  • The tag clouds are showing in different fonts, some large, some small. Looks unprofessional. Any tips?

    They are showing in different fonts?

    Basically each tag in the tag cloud will “grow” the more times you use the tag. The larger the font, the more times that tag was used.

    It’s basically a visual representation of your most-used tags.

    But I don’t think it should use different fonts.

    Thank you for your reply. It is not in different fonts, but different font sizes. Thank you again.

    The tag clouds are showing in different fonts, some large, some small.

    that is intended;

    if you refer to the default tag cloud widget:
    to level the tags to one size, add a snippet of code like this to functions.php of your theme (also described in here):

    add_filter('widget_tag_cloud_args','set_cloud_tag_size');
    function set_cloud_tag_size($args) {
    $args = array('smallest'    => 14, 'largest'    => 14);
    return $args;
    }

    (adjust the number value to match your site)

    there are also configurable tag cloud widgets available per plugins http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=configurable+tag+cloud+widgets

    Thank you so much. This is what I was looking for.
