 * You can, but you’d have to modify several core files, which is not recommended
   and will break the automatic updater and several plugins.
 * Changing the admin directory will be much easier in a future release of WordPress.

 * I have a question along this topic as well. I downloaded wordpress from ipage
   to mydomain.com/wordpress and I have set up a theme that I want to show up on
   my actual blog site mydomain.com and I’m not sure how to get this to happen?
 * I already changed the settings under “General” so that the wordpress address
   is the mydomain.com/wordpress and the site address is mydomain.com.
 * What else do I need to do so that my wordpress theme is showing on my actual
   blog?
 * Thank you!

 * Forgive me but I’m a bit confused;
    Is worpress in your root folder or in yourdomain.
   com/wordpress? also, did you select the theme as your default theme?

 * I’m a rookie so I hope I am explaining this correctly but I downloaded wordpress
   directly into a separate installation directory mydomain.com/wordpress from my
   actual blog which is mydomain.com ….I’m not sure which is technically called
   the root folder.
 * Does this clarify my question at all?

 * …and yes the theme I downloaded is showing as my “Current Theme” but when I got
   to the blog site it isn’t linking up

 * You’ll have to move WordPress to the root directory following this guide:
 * [http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Within_Your_Site](http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Within_Your_Site)
 * Next time, please start your own topic instead of hijacking an unrelated one.

 * your root folder is yourdomain.com/ no folders after that
    now if you want to
   use wordpress to run your site you should install it in yourdomain.com/ through
   ipage panel when you’re asked to provide where wordpress should be installed
   leave that field blank.
 * Let me know how you get on.

 * Thank you, I was trying to be polite and I thought this topic was along the same
   lines as my question. I will start my own next time but I was only trying not
   to clutter related topics if we were talking about the same thing. I’m new to
   this and was not trying to hijack anything.
 * Thank you Ramzijanati for your help even though I unintentionally crashed your
   thread.

 * Don’t worry about it, everyone deserves a chance to make a mistake. 🙂
 * You are forgiven.
