Different feautred images?

  • I am trying to set my featured image so that the one that appears on the front page is different from the one that appears in the post. In other words, I want it to alternate, instead of showing the same image on the front page and in the actual post. How can I go about achieving this?

    Thanks.

You can only set one featured image for the post. This will be the image that is displayed when you use the_post_thumbnail().

To show a different image on the post you will need to insert the image into the post content and make sure you single.php template does not call the_post_thumbnail().
