Different duration for individual slideshows?

  • Is there a way to set different timing (duration) for each of a few individual slideshows?

For example, I’m displaying 3 separate NextGen galleries as 3 slideshows on this page:

And I’d like each slideshow to have slightly different timing.

I have the duration set to 5 seconds in the NextGen gallery settings (Options > Slideshow > Duration time), but would like to set the first slideshow to have a duration of 3 seconds, the second to 4, and the third to 5 seconds, or something along those lines.

Is there shortcode for this? Or perhaps PHP or JavaScript I could add to the template for this page?

  • I’d very much appreciate any help with my question, if anyone has any ideas.

I realize I didn’t give version information: I’m using the latest versions of WordPress and the NextGen gallery plugin.

Note that in my link above I have changed to a different slideshow plugin to get the results I wanted. So the rotating images in that link are no longer being handled by the NextGen plugin.

I would still prefer to use NextGen for this, as the image upload and management is much more straightforward with NextGen.

I’d really like to know the answer to this too!
