Different crop settings for product category images and product catalog images

    Is it possible to separate cropping settings for product category images and product catalog images?

    I want my product category images to be soft cropped (resized) whereas my product catalog images should be hard cropped to a square image.

    By default, Woocommerce puts both these image types under one setting (“Catalog images”) and they are both resized the same way, but I was wondering if it’s possible to change setting so that one of them is soft cropped and the other is hard cropped?

    I´m also looking for a solution for this. I´v tried everything from plugins.

    I found the solution.

    Go to plugins > woocommerce > includes > wc-template-functions.php

    Line 1858:

    $small_thumbnail_size = apply_filters( ‘subcategory_archive_thumbnail_size’, ‘shop_catalog’ );

    for

    $small_thumbnail_size = apply_filters( ‘subcategory_archive_thumbnail_size’, full );`

    It would be great to apply this vía functions.php so automatic updates for the plugin could be activated.
