Different color for different categories? (8 posts)

I am currently using another plugin for related posts, but in other forum someone told me that what I want would require "advanced CSS".

Since I don't know code and this plugin looks more customizable, I was wondering if it would be easier with it and maybe with some luck someone could provide the answer.

What I need is to give, in the related posts area, a different color for each suggested post depending on their categories (three possible categories).

The color could be for example applied to the thumbnail border, or maybe to the post title's background.

Is it too complicated? If it's easy and anyone has the solution, that would be awesome :)

  2. @juanberlin -- Our CSS expert can take a look at your site to help give the exact css you'll want to use to achieve this. Can you please let us know the URL and have the plugin activated so we can take a look?

    Hi, thanks a lot.

The website is http://www.youtapas.com, and the nrelate plugin is activated.

  4. We looked into this and here's what we found: our plugin can't add a CSS class based on post category on this version but we could do this with custom script. However, we would need you to install this additional WP plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/json-api/ so we can query the post category from the custom script using Javascript.

If you're ok to install the extra plugin we can do this customization. Please let us know. Thanks!

Hi katrina, thanks for your help.

I installed and activated that plugin.

  6. @juanberlin -- Great! Thanks for doing that. We'll get to work on the custom script on our side and let you know once this has been implemented.

Hi Katrina, any luck this this? Do you think it's possible to do with this plugin?

    Thanks a lot!

  8. @juanberlin -- Sorry for the delay here. The main engineer who works on this is out of the office until later this week, but we do think that we can do this for you. I'll have him expedite this as soon as he is back and will keep you updated.

Thanks so much for your patience.
