Difference between insights and analytics reports

    I am getting different numbers in the plugin reports and what google is showing on its analytics page. In fact they are showing the exact opposite data. Monster is showing a spike in traffic over the last three days while google is saying that traffic has completely disappeared.

    Which is right? How do I get the data to show correctly?

    Hi there,
    MonsterInsights gets all of its data from Google Analytics. It’s possible you’re looking at either the wrong metric or the wrong profile. MonsterInsights uses pageviews, and for most things, Google Analytics shows sessions for it’s data. It’s possible you have had less sessions that each view more pages (thus the difference). Also it’s possible that if you have multiple properties, the wrong view is selected in the settings for MonsterInsights.
