• When I click Edit Event and change data, it is not reflected when I then click “Edit Event Post”, and vice versa. I have to change the data in both. What is the difference between these two edit mechanisms?

I also do not see any of my events in my “Posts” area of the WP Dashboard. Where is it storing this data?

The event post is the WordPress container for event data. If you’re using the single event view, there may be situations where you’ll need to edit the post container, depending on what kinds of custom data you’re managing. Most of the time, you won’t need to consider it at all, and should do all of your editing in the My Calendar events manager.

You shouldn’t ever need to edit the event post.

Thanks for the explanation. The reason we were editing the event post itself is that we could edit the permalink there, that does not seem to be a feature of using the My Calendar events manager. I could just use a custom quick-redirect instead I guess.

You can edit the permalink there, if you wish; that change should be fine.
